چکیده:

Fitting a typical function to a set of data is an interesting and critical matter in mathematics and engineering. The available approaches to curve fitting are based on the concept of the norm. Indeed, they uses some norms to minimize the corresponding violations. In this paper, taking account the weaknesses of the norm-based approaches, we use the vector optimization to fit a typical function to the given data. Indeed, using the concept of efficiency in multiobjective programming, an optimal fitting curve with some interesting secondary properties
such as smoothness is obtained.
